COLUMBIA, MO - Lois J. Wooden, 63, went home to rest on October 2, 2014. Lois was born on August 3, 1951 in Racine, Wisconsin to Leo and Marie Wiegand. She married her first husband, David Wooden, on December 10, 1970, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2006. She enjoyed her final years with Delbert Gaines, her second love. She was a healthcare unit coordinator at Candlelight Lodge, as well as many other healthcare positions due to her love for taking care of people. She enjoyed being a member of Step of Faith Church, where she was an usher. She loved to bake and spend time in her garden. She enjoyed all the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois also enjoyed her dogs; Dutchess, Brandy, and Zowie. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her Aunt and her Uncle. She is survived by her companion, Delbert Gaines; her children: Charmon (Joseph) Ledonne, Sonya (Alcindor Grandberry) Wooden, Tanya Canady, and Anthony (Rebecca Perry) Wooden; her grandchildren: Jasmine, Mikaela, John, Mariah, Devonte, Harry, David, Terry, Larry Jr, Ricky, Brytni, Shawna, and Jimmie; her great-grandchildren: Elijah, Lauren, and Contrell Jr; and many friends. Visitation will be Monday, October 6, 2014 from 9:00 11:00 am at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, with services at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
