Lloyd V. Stephenson, Jr., 87Muncie-Lloyd V. Stephenson, Jr., 87, passed away early Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on January 10, 1930 in Muncie, the son of Lloyd and Esther (Long) Stephenson, Sr.Lloyd had attended Muncie City Schools. He married Iva Jean (Armstrong) Stephenson in 1949 and she preceded him in death in 2007 and later married his current wife, Judy (Frits) Stephenson on May 27, 2009 in Muncie and she survives. Mr. Stephenson had been a self employed Carpenter and later worked for the Keystone Construction Company. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and enjoyed going to flea markets, playing cards, animals and woodworking.Besides his wife of 8 years, Judy, he is survived by one daughter, Kathy Stephenson, Muncie; two sons, Gerry Stephenson (wife-Vickie), Spring Branch, Texas and Jackie Joe Stephenson (wife-Glenda), Palm Bay, Florida; three Step daughters, Joy Steward (husband-Bud), Lisa Martin (husband-Manny) and Mindy Gibbs (husband-Mark, all of Muncie; ten grandchildren, Jaclyn Stephenson, Palm Bay, Florida, Jeremy Sexton, (wife-Elizabeth) Shelbyville, Wesley Sexton(wife-Andrea), Greensboro, North Carolina, Melissa Stephenson, San Antonio, Texas, Kevin Stephenson, Colorado, Cecil Lloyd Stephenson(wife-Destiny), Muncie, Jason Stephenson (wife- Jamie) South Carolina, Amy Stephenson (husband-David), Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Travis Stephenson, Muncie, Shane Stephenson, Muncie; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Jack Stephenson (wife-Linda), Grand Prairie, Texas; several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by two sons, Cecil Stephenson in 2005 and Robert (Robin) Bryant Stephenson in the early 1992, his parents and one brother, Don Stephenson.Funeral services will be held Monday, October 23, 2017 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and again on Monday from 12:00 P.M. until service time.Online condolences may be made to the family in care of
