LIGONIER — Lloyd E. Troyer, 73, of Ligonier died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015. Mr. Troyer was born on Oct. 1, 1941, in Ligonier to Edwin O. and Mildred (Emerson) Troyer. He was a 1959 graduate of Ligonier High School and a United States Air Force veteran. In 1987, he returned to Ligonier to become the owner of Troyer Construction, which he was still operating. Mr. Troyer joined his friends faithfully for breakfast out for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and hobby farming. On Aug. 26, 1970, in Topeka, he married Carolyn Mae Yoder; she survives in Ligonier. Also surviving are two daughters, Karen Troyer of Atlanta and Tonia Troyer of Atlanta; a sister, Betty McIntire of Elkhart; a brother, Harold Troyer of West Point, Utah; and several nieces and nephews. His parents and a brother, Ralph E. Troyer, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange. Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in rural Topeka. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to that of the donor's choice.
