It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Linda Young, born on May 7, 1940, in Danville, Virginia, United States. Linda peacefully left this world on July 8, 2024.

Linda was a devoted mother to her two children, Derrick Maynard and James Maynard. She was also a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren.

Linda attended Bassett High School and graduated in 1958. She enjoyed hobbies such as crocheting and reading books.

On July 8, 2024, Linda Young passed away due to a sudden heart attack. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Service will be held July 20th, 12pm at St. James Baptist Church
