Lillian Roseanna (Bash) SowersROSEVILLE: Lillian Roseanna (Bash) Sowers, 88, of Roseville, passed away Wednesday August 28, 2013 at her sister's home, Markeeta Thomas of Zanesville. Lillian was born on August 4, 1925 in Muskingum County to the late Leo E. and Bernice H. (Tipton) Bash. She was a 1942 graduate of Roseville High School where she was in the Glee Club and Marching Band. She retired after 43 years of service from Nelson-McCoy Pottery in Roseville. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Roseville. She enjoyed bowling, puzzles, and reading. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens of Zanesville.She is survived by her two god daughters, Jennifer (Nathan) Baker Varner of Greenfield Park, New York and Nicole (David) Baker Johnson of Newark; two brothers, Franklin D. (Carol) Bash, Sr. of Roseville and Harold B. Bash of Zanesville; three sisters, Bernice (Kenneth) Hayes and Markeeta (Clifford) Thomas both of Zanesville and Belinda (Nicky) Baker of Newark; she also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years John B. Sowers, whom she married June 20, 1947 and died April 11, 2005; three brothers, John E. Bash, Sr., Carl L. Bash, Sr., and Frederick L. Bash, Sr.; three sisters Gladys E. Hendricks, Margaret Vashti Abella, and Sylvia E. Wisecarver.Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday August 30, 2013 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 31, 2013. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
