Lieut.-Colonel Raphael Mason, Jr., 73, of Kingston, Kingston, passed on February 25, 2021. Lieut.-Colonel Raphael was born on July 07, 1947.
Earth has lost a faithful, loving husband, father, brother, mentor, spiritual leader, counselor, prayer warrior and a covenant friend with international influence and impact. But heaven has gained a wonderful soul who is now a Lieutenant Colonel in the army of Heaven.
Lieut.-Colonel Raphael Mason, Jr. was Promoted to Glory, peacefully into the arms of God his maker, redeemer and friend on Thursday, February 25, 2021. He has now joined the choir of Heaven playing his cornet, singing and praising God along with the angelic host of heaven as he backs up the tenor section of Heaven’s Choir.
He was affectionately known as “Uncle Raphael” “Uncle Junior” “Daddy” “Bishop” and “Mr. “Salvation Army” and so much more by those who knew him and those for whom he served as spiritual father, mentor, counselor and prayer partner.
He greatly influenced the lives of many young people all across the Isles of the Caribbean, Africa, USA and Canada.
Lieut.-Colonel Raphael Mason, Jr. lived a purposeful, complete and well-rounded spiritual life. He was a trooper in the kingdom of God: A giant soldier who was always equipped with the whole armor of God. He ran an outstanding and remarkable race and he has finished his course.
Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of my kingdom for precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his servants.
Lieut.-Colonel Raphael Mason, Jr. will be greatly missed by all those whose lives intersected with his in one way or another.
Lieut.-Colonel Raphael Mason, Jr. is survived by his wife, Lieut.-Colonel Winsome Mason, affectionately known as Aunty Cherry, his daughter Patricia, three brothers and their wives, one sister and her husband, nieces, nephews, other family members, The Salvation Army family a host of covenant brothers and sisters and a ton of friends near and far.
May perpetual light shine upon him and his soul rest in eternal peace.
