LEROY BEILKE OBITUARY
LeRoy J. Beilke, age 89, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday March 26, 2023 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Leroy was born on September 21, 1933 in Valders. He was the son of the late Fred and Emily Scharenbroch Beilke. LeRoy was a graduate of Chilton High School with the class of 1952. He then entered the Unites States Navy and served his country overseas during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he returned to Manitowoc and continued his education for the next two years at the Manitowoc Teachers College. LeRoy then took the entrance exam for the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department and then became employed there until he retired in 1990 with the rank of Deputy Inspector of Support. On October 26, 1957 he married Eunice A. Prtizl at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. LeRoy was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Manitowoc Yacht Club. He enjoyed playing golf and following the Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eunice, three children, Lori-le E. Beilke, Manitowoc, (Fred Eichhorst), Ricardo (Debbie) Beilke, Racine, Thomas (Kay) Beilke, Manitowoc; four granddaughters, Amanda (T.J.) Spaulding, Abby (Nick) Ksobiech, Briana (Dylan) Leonhard, and Nicole Beilke; three great grandchildren, Logan, Leo, Cameron, and two great grandchildren on the way; one brother, Jeffrey (Cindy) Beilke, Whitelaw; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emily Beilke and one brother, Fred, and sister-in-law, Harland and LaVerne Beilke.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday March 30, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 Waldo Blvd, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptian. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the funeral service at church military honors will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #731. Committal services will then follow at Knollwood Mausoleum in the town of Kossuth. A luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc.
