Hart, LeonaLeona Hart, 88, Wittenberg, died on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Rosemary Manor, Mattoon under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice.She was born on December 1, 1928 in Wausau, the daughter of the late Leo and Balbena (Brzezinski) Brodjeski.On August 25, 1953, Leona was united in marriage to Edmund Hart in Wausau. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2014.Leona was a homemaker and loved cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed knitting, embroidering, bowling, playing cards and the occasional trip to the casino. Leona was also an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers fan. She was a member of Holy Family St. William Catholic Church, Wittenberg and its Christian Mothers. In her younger years, Leona was very involved with the Girl Scouts.Survivors include seven children, William (Mary Ann) Hart of Eland, Geraldine (Louis) Klein of Grafton, Alan Hart of Wausau, Colleen (Lonnie) Hampton of Pulaski, Julieanne Hart of Howell, MI, Kevin (Lori) Hart of Kronenwetter and Susan (Kurt) Zeinert of Wittenberg; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ron (Gloria) Brodjeski, Chester (Shirley) Brodjeski, Shirley Fosbender, Jean (Richard) Kudronowicz and Delores Walters and siblings-in-law, Sophie Brown, Ray (Kathy) Hart, Rose (Jerry) Edwards, Mildred Hart and Judy Brodjeski.Leona was preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant son Andrew; siblings, Felix, David, Clarence, Emily Pochinski, Theresa Tulickus and Alvina in infancy and siblings-in-law, Arlene Brodjeski, Herman Pochinski, Lee Fosbender, Joanne Brodjeski and Joe Tulickus.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Holy Family-St. William Catholic Church, Wittenberg. Fr. José Castañeda will officiate. Inurnment will be on Saturday, September 9, at 11AM at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Wittenberg.
