Leo Suttles, aged 51, passed away on July 2, 2025. Born on September 23, 1973, in Selma, Alabama, Leo was a beacon of joy and warmth in the lives of all who knew him. Known for his love of dancing and his outgoing personality, Leo cherished time spent with his family, especially his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Leo is survived by a loving family: sisters Leolia and Cheryl Suttles; brothers George, James, Bruce Fincher, and Harry Fincher; nieces and nephews Joderious, Joquavious, Disheka, Lanosha, Sirliyah, Jamarius, Keytavious, Daniel, Deasha, Kendrick, Matthew, and Shyann Suttles; great-nieces and nephews Ar'mon, Ar'kensliegh, Sa’Riyah M. Jones, Mariah N. Suttles, Avionna R. Suttles, Chloe, Jounree, Ja’kayden, Ka’leah, London Ra’shiya, Christian Keontae, and Kingston Dewayne. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Lillian Smith and Leo Mitchell.

A memorial service for Leo will be held on Saturday, with a balloon release to honor his memory. Miller’s Funeral Service in Selma, Alabama, is assisting the family during this time. Leo's life, characterized by joy, love, and vibrant community involvement, will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
