Leona, LelouLeona H. Lelou, 95, Green Bay, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday, June 2, 2017. She was born on January 15, 1922, in Bellevue to the late George and Louise (Linssen) VandenLangenberg. Leona married Ronald Lelou on January 12, 1946. She was a charter member of St. Bernard Parish. Leona worked at Wally's Spot for many years. She was a member of the Happy Hoppers Dance Club and enjoyed spending time on the dance floor with her husband, Ronald. When she wasn't busy on the dance floor, Leona enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her incredible green thumb would bring any plant back to life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, usually with a dollar in hand.Leona will be deeply missed by her children, Gerald (Mary) Lelou, St. Cloud, MN, Elizabeth Van Pay, Luxemburg, Bonita (Eric) Weydt, Green Bay, and Jane (Dave) Tomashek, Hartford; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; siblings, Roland VandenLangenberg, Nancy (Roger) Denis, Ruth (Harold) Watermolen; sisters-in-law, Ceil VandenLangenberg, Dorothy VandenLangenberg, and Ann VandenLangenberg; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.In addition to her parents, Leona is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; son, Thomas; two infants; 7 siblings, Johanna (Robert) LeSage, Donald VandenLangenberg, Wilbert (Karen) VandenLangenberg, Lawrence VandenLangenberg, Elizabeth (Richard) LeSage, Patsy VandenLangenberg, and Clifford VandenLangenberg; and a sister-in-law, Carol VandenLangenberg.Visitation will be at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Dr., from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday, June 9, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at Church with Rev. Mark VanderSteeg officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Mausoleum.
