Leda Emile Files-Eisnor 76, of Taunton, Massachusetts, passed on November 07, 2020.
Leda Emile Files was born on June 03, 1944, the sixth of eleven siblings. Her birth was precarious at the start, as she was very ill and not expected to survive. Thankfully God had other plans for her. Times were extremely harsh, as the war and great depression were winding down. With so many mouths to feed, mom found creative ways to stretch what little food the family had. As a result, Leda thrived and was quite the tomboy as a young girl, perhaps because she was determined not to be outdone by her older brothers. Again, God had other plans for her. As she entered high school, she blossomed into a beautiful, vibrant woman who was adored by all who met her.
She married the love of her life, Alfred Monro Eisnor on July 1, 1978. They enjoyed a life of travel with sister's Joyce and Carol along with their husbands. Among memorable trips were visits to brother Ralph and wife Carol. Cruises and a trip to Portugal, were favorites also. The most notable, and by far the greatest, was their trip to the Grand Canyon. Lee and Al resided in Taunton, Massachusetts, and when not traveling, happily shared a life long fondness for dachhunds. Piggy and Sassy were just two names of the many they cared for over the years. Her current dog, Precious, is being loved and spoiled by niece Dani Cratty.
Although Leda had no biological children, she loved her extended family by way of nieces and nephews. Each can attest to her generous and genuine love. Her Godchild Dawn recalls her love of the yearly trips to La Salette as a child, and warming up by the wood burning stove in the basement that magically changed color for the kids. The newest niece and nephew called her Aunty LaLa and she spoiled them with treats and lots of hugs and kisses. Because of their tender age, they were told Aunty LaLa is on an extended vacation.
Leda is preceded in death by her beloved husband Alfred Eisnor, her parents, Leda Emile Belanger and Ralph Henry Files, sister Joyce Files-Cratty, brother's Ronald, Robert, Richard and Russell Files. She is survived by brother Ralph and wife Carol Files of North Carolina, brother Raymond Files of Florida, sister Carol Files-Plummer and husband Roy of Florida, sister Janet Files-Runaldue of Taunton Mass, brother Roger Files and wife Valerie of Maine, sister-in-law Joan Cantwell-Files of Massachusetts, and brother in-law Adrien Thompson of New Hampshire. She also is surived by twenty-six nieces and nephews and their children. We can't forget neighbors and special friends (you know who you are) of Colonial Estates, where she spent the last wonderful six years of her life.
We will forever miss the joy and laughter that only Leda, in her own special way, brought to all of our lives. We are truly blessed to have been a part of her life. As a dear friend recalled recently, I was going through a very difficult time and Leda reached out to me. We had some very personal talks and she helped me through a really tough time. That is our Leda........and now our Angel in Heaven. God Bless and keep you till we meet again my sweet sister. All our love, your family and friends.
A private graveside service will by held by invitation only.
