HARDYSTON - Leah Mary Cummings (Brett) passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Bentley Assisted Living in Branchville. Leah was born on March 3, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Edward and Rose (Dermer) Brett. She was a resident of Bloomingdale, Wayne and Hamburg.Leah was a senior administrative assistant for NJEA in Wayne, for 27 years, retiring in 1997. Leah enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was an avid mystery novel reader. Leah is survived by her children, Mary Mazzola, of Bloomingdale, Susan Stoveken and her husband, John, of Hardyston, and John Cummings and his wife, Jenna, of Seattle, and her 11 grandchildren: Susan Mazzola, Leah Salazar, Laura Staiano, Michael John Mazzola, Gwen Stoveken, John Stoveken, Erica Stoveken, Emilly Stoveken, Ellysa Stoveken, Samuel Cummings, Ayla Cummings and Anna Lusk and two great grandchildren, Andrew and Gracie Stoveken.Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 7-9 p.m., at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St., Franklin, and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 10 a.m., at St. John Vianney R.C. Church, 2823 Route 23, Stockholm.
