ZIEGLER, Lawrence Walter1929 – 2017Lawrence Walter Ziegler, 88 years old, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family on October 24, 2017. Lawrence was born on July 28, 1929 in Carbon, Alberta where he farmed until 1968 when the family moved to Calgary and he worked in construction until retirement. He was always a hardworking man who could build or fix anything. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was always ready and willing to help with anything that needed to be done. Lawrence is survived by his children, Janice (Allen) Wainwright, Karen Ziegler (Wayne Nordstrom), Rosalie Ross (Myron Johnson), Lori (Trent) Keller, Colleen Oshimo (Joe McKillop) and Elizabeth Keeling-Carreau (Paul Carreau), as well as his grandchildren, Mindy Peterson, Deane Peterson, Sean Agnew (Brittney Ronca), Michael Ross, Steven Ross, Zachary Keller, Alisanne Keller, Sanae Oshimo, Max Duncan and Alex Duncan; four great-grandchildren, Tyson and Jeremy Sinclair (Mindy Peterson), Caden and Carly Agnew (Sean Agnew). Lawrence was predeceased by his wife Mary Ziegler, father Walter Ziegler, mother Elsie Daubert, infant daughter Patsy Ziegler, stepfather George Daubert, brother Leonard Ziegler, sister Ellen Irwin and brother-in-law Al Irwin. Lawrence (dad) will be greatly missed and always loved. The family wishes to thank the amazing, loving and kind staff at Bethany Care Centre Airdrie. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at LEYDEN'S CHAPEL OF REMEMBRANCE (corner of 17th Avenue & 2nd Street SW) at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
