Lawrence Minckler Sr.Poughkeepsie - Lawrence Minckler, Sr., 76 a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at home on Monday, July 24, 2017. Lawrence was born on April 9, 1941 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Floyd and Edna Simmons Minckler. He married Lucinda Garibay on September 17, 1961 and she predeceased Lawrence on July 21, 2009. Lawrence was a Laborer with Local 1000. He enjoyed bowling, loved drinking his coffee, country singing and country music, was an avid poker player and loved his Raiders Football and the Boston Red Sox baseball team. He was a member of VFW #170, the Poughkeepsie Polish Club and the Shamrock Club. Lawrence is survived by his three sons, Lawrence "Cisco" Minckler, Jr., Scott and Sue Minckler, John and Leann Minckler all of Poughkeepsie, NY., 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as his brothers and sister Melvin Minckler, Ron Beatty, Barbara Simmon, Joan Meyer and Kenny Beatty all formally of Poughkeepsie, NY. Lawrence was predeceased by son Richard Minckler in 1997 and his bothers and sisters Patricia Minckler, Harris "Duke" Minckler, John Beatty and Edna Beatty.Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:00am at the Funeral Home.
