Eberhardy, Lawrence J.Lawrence J. Eberhardy, 90, Marshfield, died on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, where the visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time. Rev. Eric Berns will officiate. A Knights of Columbus rosary service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at the church. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Lawrence was born on February 6, 1926 in the Town of Marshfield, (Hewitt) to Peter and Anna (Schuster) Eberhardy. He attended St. Joseph's Parochial School, Hewitt and Marshfield Senior High School. He married Lucille A. Meyer on June 7, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield. As a young man, Lawrence began employment at Weyerhaeuser Company and later at Felker Brothers Corporation, both in Marshfield. He then was employed in maintenance at the University of Wisconsin, Marshfield, for 20 years, until his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus, John Eisen Council #1799, a charter member of the Marshlanders Good Sams camping Club, volunteered as a Communion distributer at St. Joseph's Hospital and a deliverer for the Meals on Wheels program. He also had been active in the Big Brother organization. Lawrence enjoyed camping, golfing, deer hunting and was an avid sports fan. He also was a talented handyman and could fix anything. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lucille, and their daughter, Kay Eberhardy of California. He is also survived by a sister, Sister Mary Peter, SSND, of Elm Grove. He was predeceased by his parents, and siblings, Adelaide (Val) Schueller, Blandina (Joe) Loosen, Lorraine (Harris) Simon, Theresa (Roland) Kienast, Delores (Floyd) Rogers, Alfred Eberhardy and Adolph (Rosalind) Eberhardy.
