Lawrence E. Edwards, 96, of Rochester, formerly of Fayette County, died at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Regency Care Center in Springfield.Services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester, with the Rev. Jack Swank officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Mr. Edwards was born on Nov. 20, 1920, in Fayette County, the son of George Dewey and Lucinda (Radcliff) Edwards. He married Louise Schlver; she preceded him in death.
