Lawrence Joseph Arceneaux Sr, 87, of Jennings Louisiana, entered eternity on November 15, 2022. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Lawrence was born in Jennings, LA to Earl and Shirley Arceneaux on March 23, 1935. He was a Vietnam war veteran and paratrooper in the US Army. Returning from the service he married Alice Arceneaux and was committed to her in marriage for 66 years.

He was preceded in death by his son, Maxwell Arceneaux ; parents, Earl and Shirley Arceneaux; sister, Viola Arceneaux; and brother, Ralph Arceneaux.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Lawrence Arceneaux Jr, Sandra Arceneaux, Charlie Arceneaux, Fred Arceneaux, Betty Williams (Bobby), Willie Mae Bautista (Ray); 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren.

We are deeply grateful for the musical gift that you shared and imparted to us; the music ministry that you and mom shared together touched many lives.

We will miss our walks in your beautiful garden. You were generous to everyone, not only with the fruits of your labor but also with your time and advice. You have left a profound impact on everyone who knew you.

Thank you for being such a man of honor and a man whose life was hidden in Christ.
