He has left behind a loving Mother Chandra Mckinney, Father Larenzo Mayes, Brother Jaden Mckinney, Sister Ra'Niya Mckinney, Grandparents Mary Murray, Randolph (Mary) Mckinney Sr., Aunt Earnesha (Marcelus) Scott, Uncle Antony Latroy Jackson Sr., Randolph (Re`gene) Mckinney Jr., Reginald (Sydell) Mckinney, Great Aunt Lucy (Bill) Cromwell, Daughters Teigahn (Myiea) Mayes, Nova Bella (Shayona) Harley, Son Jeremiah Latroy (Shayona) Mayes, First Cousins Jamonta Latroy Jackson, Antony Latroy Jackson II, Antonio Jackson, Katlynne Amela-Mariah Johnson, Ka`Niyah Frankie-Mone't Cooper, Saarik Latroy Terrell Wilson, Kayla Mckinney, Kimoni Mckinney, Kadence Mckinney, Kaelyn Mckinney, a Special Friend Ciera Burroughs, and a host of family and friends who will miss him so much. Lavonta always brought a smile to everyone's face. Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss.
After Lavonta graduated from Jenkins High School, he worked in different odd jobs, enjoying the variety of life and the thrill of learning new trades. Lavonta's hobby was music. He started rapping at the age of 15. He was family oriented and cared deeply about each family member and made sure they felt seen and heard as well as accepted for who they are.
