MorfordSt. CloudJuly 26, 1947 - October 2, 2017Laurie A.  Morford - wife, mother, and grandmother - died peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the young age of seventy with her family at her side.Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Kimball Church of Christ with Pastor Kevin White officiating. Burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.Laurie Anne Morford was born on July 26, 1947 at the Saint Cloud Hospital. She grew up and graduated from high school in Blue Earth. She moved to Kimball with her grandparents shortly after graduation. Soon after, she met Jerry Morford and they were married on September 22, 1971 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball, Minnesota. They raised their two amazing children, Jamie and Tina, in Kimball until moving to Saint Cloud in 1994. In 2009, she moved with Jerry to Sedalia, MO. Laurie was a stay at home mother until their youngest child went to Kimball Elementary School, where she coincidently also became a part-time employee. She had other part-time occupations to keep her busy but her true calling and priority had always been motherhood. Laurie was an avid sewer and enjoyed making clothes, blankets and accessories for her grandchildren.Laurie is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry Morford of Sedalia, MO; son, Jamie (Kim) Morford of Richmond, MN; daughter, Tina (Brandon) Berna of Saukville, WI; beloved grandchildren, Kinsey and Bryn Morford, and Caden and Callie Berna; brother, Thomas Olson of Kimball; nephew, Brent Olson (Melissa McCarthy); and niece, Kristy Olson. Laurie was preceded in death by her mother Maggie Olson, father & stepmother Robert & Billye Corran, sister in-law Joyce Olson, and father-in-law & mother-in-law Robert & Pandora Morford. dingmannfuneral.com
