LAUREN WINKLER
FALMOUTH, Mass. – Lauren Alexis "Lo" Winkler, 24, of Falmouth, MA, formerly of Naples, FL, and Lima, OH, passed away on Oct. 21, 2016, at her residence in Falmouth.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1992, in Lima to Don Winkler of Naples, FL, and Paula (Dienstberger) Winkler, also of Naples. Lauren attended Lima Central Catholic High School, then moved to Florida, where she graduated from Cambridge Academy, class of 2010, in Ocala, FL. She then attended Otterbein University studying psychology and biochemistry.
Lauren was best known for her beautiful smile, kind heart, and quick wit. She was an avid reader and a talented writer with a passion for books from all genres. One of her favorite quotes was from author Anthony Brandt: "Other things may change us, but we start and end with family."
She is also survived by her brother, Josh Winkler of Lima, OH; grandmother Beverly Carroll of Estero, FL; aunts and uncles Michael (Meg) Winkler of Millerton, NY, Christina (Larry) Ryan Claypool of Troy, OH, Greg (Lynn) Winkler of Charleston, SC, Janet Sondalle of Sun City, AZ, Karen Shaffer of St. Louis, MO, Jeremy Sprang of West Grove, PA, Sandra (Glen) Lausé of Naples, FL, John L. "Josh" (Kimberly) Carroll III of Batavia, OH, Christopher (Robin) Carroll of Western Springs, IL, and Leslie (Jochen) Bachmann of Hudson, OH; and niece and nephew Hayden and Haylee Winkler of Lima, OH, along with numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandmother Glenna (Winkler) Sprang, grandfather Danny Dienstberger, grandfather Dr. John L. Carroll Jr., and aunt Diana Johnson and her husband, Daniel "Howard" Johnson.
There will be a private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charitable organization of the donor's choice.
