Kevin Douglas WingBellevueKevin Douglas Wing, age 60, of Bellevue and formerly of Battle Creek died unexpectedly Monday, August 14, 2017 at Cornwell's Turkey Farm Camp Grounds.Kevin was born on May 11, 1957 in Pigeon, Michigan to Willard "Bud" and Reva (Robarts) Wing. He was raised in the Sebewaing, Michigan area and was a graduate of the Unionville Sebewaing Areas USA High School. He continued his education attending Central Michigan University and received his BA Degree in Sociology. Kevin then attended Michigan State University receiving his Master's Degree. Following his graduation, he began a 25-year career with Starr Commonwealth in Albion, serving as the Director of Clinical Services. In 2014, Kevin joined the staff at Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties.On April 17, 2004, he married Sandy Jean Milner.Kevin was an avid runner. He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, collecting hats and shirts from sporting events and reading sport history. His favorite college team was the
University of Michigan.Kevin was a very involved and attentive father to his four children. He was always there to attend their sporting events and church activities. He will be remembered by his family as a loving son, husband, brother and father. Kevin had a wonderful sense of humor and made friends easily.He is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, Aaliyah Wing, Dezmon Wing, Kemari Wing and Jerrius Wing all at home; father, Willard "Bud" Wing of Sebewaing; sister, Sherry (Mark) Sontag of Sebewaing; a niece, Darcie (Chris) Hohne of North Branch and her children, Maddie Hohne and Reed Hohne. He was preceded in death by his mother, Reva Wing.Visitation will be on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Craig K. Kempf Family Funeral Homes, Marshall Chapel from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Baseline United Methodist Church, 9617 Baseline Road, Battle Creek, Michigan 49017. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sebewaing.Memorial contributions are to Bellevue Youth Recreation Association.
