Kenneth Roy Anschuetz of Tawas Township passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015 at Iosco County Medical Care Facility, age 75 years. Ken was born on Aug. 3, 1940 in Tawas Township to Theodore and Margaret (Drzewiecki) Anschuetz. He graduated from Tawas Area High School in the Class of 1958 and then went to work for the Iosco County Road Commission where he spent most of his time as a mechanic. He retired from the road commission after about 30 years of service. Ken was very strong in his Christian faith and was a very active parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church. He will always be remembered for his bright smile and love of people. Ken loved farming and his animals that he cared for. In the fall he always made sure he had lots of pumpkins available for people to take home to enjoy. He was also active with the Tawas Area Knights of Columbus No. 2709. Ken was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed to tinker with motors on cars, trucks and tractors. Ken will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his one brother, Russ Anschuetz of Tawas City; six sisters, Lil Smith of National City, Rose (Cecil) Warner of Tawas City, Grace (Orville) Revord of Tawas City, Joan (Gerry) Jordan of National City, Joyce (Terry) Burke of Florida and Alice (Larry) Finley of National City; and many nieces, nephews and special friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; and his three brothers, Edward Anschuetz, Jack Anschuetz Ted Anschuetz Jr.; and one sister, Mary Lou Anschuetz. His family welcomed friends at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, Aug. 13 from 9 to 11 a.m. The funeral mass took place at 11 a.m. He was laid to rest in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
