Kenneth J. Hanshaw, age 84, of Oscoda, formerly of Detroit, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. He was born on Dec. 3, 1931 in Port Huron to the late William and Vera Hanshaw (McDermott). Kenneth was proud of his time served in the United States Marine Corps. He served during the Korean Conflict on the USS Saratoga. Kenneth worked for 28 years for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, as a hi lo driver. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty A. Hanshaw; children, Patricia (Charles) Lapointe, David (Cecelia) O'Neill, Peggy (Paul) Arens, Kenneth Hanshaw Jr. and Darin (Falissa) O'Neill; sisters, Lois Revitzer and Anna Mae Blackwell; grandchildren, Kelly Whitney and Rebecca Lapointe, Tracie Hanshaw and Scott O'Neill, Philip Lapointe and Kevin Arens; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Charlotte Whitney, Emory Lapointe, Jacob Arens and Ashley, Joseph and Xavier Hanshaw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Hanshaw; step-sons, Donald and Dan O'Neill; and grandson, Jonpaul Arens.
