Kenneth Dale Dobbs84, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2016. He was born on November 8, 1932 in Sumner Co, TN to the late Harry D. and Bertha (Crowder) Dobbs. He was a salesman for Blue Valley, Kraft, and Meadow Gold, ending as a branch manager. He was an Army Veteran and had a lifetime passion for steam locomotives.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Raymond Dobbs and sister Marjorie Lowe. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Doris M. (Barnhart) Dobbs; children, Mark (Pamela) Dobbs and Barbara Jean Dobbs; grandchildren Rachel (Joe) Tonte, Jacob Dobbs. He  is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral Service will be conducted Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation an hour prior to service time at St. John's United Church of Christ, 7031 S. East St, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Franciscan Hospice House or to St. John's United Church of Christ.
