It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kena Garrett on October 6, 2025, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was born on April 6, 1978, to his mother Brenda Garrett. Kena is survived by his loving spouse, Jackie Dawson-Garrett, whom she married in 2022.

Kena was a devoted father three children, Aurianus, Avrian, and Andrell Garrett. He was immensely proud of their accomplishments, including their education at Spartanburg High School and later graduating from Clemson University in 2001. Kena was also actively involved in the Clemson organization, where he made lasting friendships.

Aside from his family and career, Kena had a passion for basketball. He enjoyed playing the sport with friends and watching games whenever he could.

Kena will be remembered for his infectious laughter, warm personality, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
