Keith Mergel, 54, of Little Ferry, New Jersey, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, June 7th, 2020. Keith was the second youngest of five children, born to Peter and Catherine “Mickey” Mergel, on January 18th, 1966 in Bronx, NY.

Keith graduated from Fair Lawn High School in 1984 and worked in various food service positions throughout his life. He was an avid fisherman, and frequently took day trips to his favorite lake on Skyline Drive with his brother Steve. He was very close with his family, and loved being a part of summer BBQs, holidays feasts, and birthday celebrations. Keith loved to cook, listen to Elton John, & try his luck on NJ Lottery scratch offs.

In 2010, he married the love of his life, Maria.Together they enjoyed vacationing at destinations such as Paradise Island, Bahamas and Acapulco, Mexico. Their most treasured memories over the years were spent in Atlantic City, NJ. When at home, Keith loved watching TV with his dog, Magic.

Keith is survived by his wife Maria, as well as his siblings Pete (Debra), Mike (Patty), Steve, & Rose (Joe). Keith will forever be missed by his nieces and nephews, along with his extended family and dear friends. He will always be remembered as having a heart of gold.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends on July 11th, 2020. Invitations to follow.
