She was the daughter of the late Lowell and Helen (Shields) Hensley of Pence, where she grew up. She was a lifelong resident of Warren County and for the past three years resided in the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center. Kay graduated from Williamsport High School in 1953 and following graduation married her high school sweetheart, Robert Claire Martin that same year. She was their biggest cheerleader at sporting events and always there for them with advice and gentle calm. Kay fought a good fight, but in the end went gently into that good night. She was taken too early in her battle with dementia/Alzheimer's, but leaves her family and friends with a lifetime of memories.
