We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kathey Kelley Hunt, a beloved resident of Kaufman, Texas. Kathey, 72, passed away on December 12, 2024. She was a cherished member of the Kaufman community, especially with her talent in genealogy and history. She was a well known member of the civil-war reenacting community as both a participant and skilled milliner. She is remembered for her kind heart and unwavering compassion. Born on January 11, 1952, Kathey touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, humor, generosity and talents.

Kathey is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Donald Hunt, Son Shane hunt and daughter in-law Kathey, grandchildren Madison and Morgan, Sister Karol Kelley Smith and brother in-law Brad, Niece Sharon "Shay" Smith, great-nephews Dominick and Ryan, Sister Patti Kelley Carter and brother in-law Daniel, and her beloved dogs.

Kathey was lovingly welcomed into the kingdom by her cherished parents, Bill and Leota Barry Kelley.

Join us in celebration on January 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. at College Mound Methodist Church, 14490 FM 429 Terrell, TX 75161 with celebration and a meal to follow.
