Katherine Newland, 97Katherine Louise Newland, 97, of Lakeview, AR passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at her residence. She was born on October 30, 1918 in Springfield, MO to George and Vivian (Keiser) Lodge. She was a dedicated mother to her four children who will miss her greatly. She is survived by three sons, Charles Newland (Irena) of Lakeview, AR, Bill Newland, Jr. (Joyce) of Fort Worth, TX and John Newland of Alto, New Mexico; one daughter, Vivian Walters (Joe) of Greenbrier, AR; five grandchildren, Richard Newland (Christy), Mark Newland, Katherine Barton (Steve), Julie Harp (Greg) and David Newland (Amy); eight great-grandchildren and one brother, Jim Lodge (Alice) of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Newland; one brother, Bill Lodge and one sister, Jane Bryant.Arrangements are by Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Her family will conduct a memorial gathering for family and friends on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Newland's Lodge, 295 River Road, Lakeview, AR 72642.
