Karen Ann ThompsonAge: 53 • SpottswoodKaren Ann Thompson, 53, of 1053 Old Providence Road and formerly of Craigsville, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the home of her sister.Miss Thompson was born on November 25, 1963 in Staunton, a daughter of Audrey Jerline (Downey) Thompson and the late Curney Lee Thompson. Karen attended Victory Baptist Church, was a graduate of Buffalo Gap High School and she participated in Special Olympics, winning numerous awards for her bowling skills. Karen had a contagious smile and was full of joy and life.Surviving in addition to her mother of Raphine, is a sister, Sheree L. Fravel and her husband Doug of Spottswood; two nephews, Clay M. Fravel and Justin L. Fravel; a niece, Katie J. Fravel and fiancé Nick Thomas; and great-nephews, Bobby D. Fravel and Jake M. Fravel.The family will receive friends anytime at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Sheree and Doug Fravel, 1053 Old Providence Road, Spottswood.A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the Craigsville Community Memorial Cemetery by Pastor Rader M.
