It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kamellia Renee' Williams-Stokes (Kam), who left this world on May 7, 2024. She was born on July 28, 1979, in Jackson, Mississippi to her loving parents Mack Henry McIntyre and Adrienne Williams-Lee.

Kamellia was married to her husband John Stokes in January 2006. No children were born to this union, but she helped raise a stepdaughter, Irish Stokes. She attended Clinton High School and graduated in 1997 with honors and was inducted into the National Honor Society, before continuing her studies at Hinds Community College and graduating in 1999 with a degree in accounting and in 2000 with a degree in Business Office Technology. She was also on the Dean and President List, a recipient of the Who's Who Among Students in American Community and Junior Colleges and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Kamellia dedicated herself to her career and worked diligently at the State of Mississippi. Her talents and hard work were greatly appreciated by her colleagues, and she will be remembered for her dedication and passion in all that she did.

Kamellia was proceeded in death by her paternal grandmother Sadie Mae McIntyre, maternal great-grandmother Adeline Mayfield, stepmother Ella McIntyre, three aunts and three uncles. One special uncle, Harrison Cooks, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: John Stokes (husband) Irish Stokes (step-daughter) Adrienne Lee (mother), Mack Henry McIntyre (father), Stephine McIntyre (sister), grandparents Harrison and Maxine Cooks, all of Jackson, MS; aunts Bridget (Marvin) Powell of Madison, MS, Tina (Wilbur) Pickering of Raymond, MS, Beatrice (Joseph) Palmer of Clinton, MS, Shunda Hollins-Cooks, Zosetta Flowers-Cooks, Willie Mae McIntyre and Shirley Bennett all of Jackson, MS; great aunts Clara Roberts of Jackson, MS and Hazel Anderson of Frisco, Tx. She also leaves behind a special cousin that she raised like a daughter, Nikki Stokes and her mother Valerie. Her memories will also be cherished by a host of cousins and one nephew, Nicholas A. Kelly.

Kamellia was a kind and generous soul, always willing to lend a helping hand and spread love and positivity to those around her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
