Justina Lokelau "Nina" Magsayo, aged 53, of Kealakekua Bay, Kona, Hawaii, concluded her earthly journey on April 16, 2024, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. Born to the late Emanuel Magsayo and Helen (Ballenti) Magsayo on July 8, 1970, Nina's presence was a testament to the unwavering spirit and verdant beauty of her Hawaiian heritage.
Nina was a paragon of joy and an emblem of a free-spirited existence, her life characterized by an ever-present smile that bestowed warmth and comfort to those around her. Her demeanor, marked by gentle grace and a nurturing soul, bestowed upon her family and friends an enduring sense of serenity and happiness.
The matriarchal warmth of her family will keenly feel her absence, and she will be deeply missed by her brothers, Charles Ballenti, James, Dale, and Kevin Magsayo. Equally bereft will be her sisters, Stephanie Schenck, Sonya Genova, Gale Magsayo-Buschmann, and Tricia Chapa. Her enduring legacy is reflected in the lives of her daughters, Tiara and Shaina Carter, as well as the youthful exuberance of her grandsons, Jesse and James Martin, and Kai Hernandez, who will carry forth her infectious zest for life.
In solemn remembrance, Nina is joined in eternal rest by her revered parents and her brother Albert Magsayo, whose precedents in passing mark a legacy of familial unity that remains unbroken even in death.
In Nina's memory, her loved ones are invited to celebrate a life remarkably lived and ardently cherished. Her abiding memory shall endure as a guide to the graciousness and tenderness that marked her time among us.
