June Louise YoungerCamarillo, CAJune Lousie Younger, age 83, passed away on Apr 9, 2017, surrounded by her family. June fought a long, courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born on Jun 29, 1933, in Newburgh, NY, to Karl and Anna Sandner. She had two sisters: Elsie and Carol.At age 17, June and family moved to Coral Gables, FL, where she finished her final year of high school and then attended the University of Miami. During High School, June worked at West Point and then went on to work for Chevrolet.On a family vacation to Germany, June met Wayne Younger at the Hofbrauhaus in Munich, Germany. They were married Apr 28, 1957. Together, they had four children. They settled in Camarillo, CA, where they have lived since 1967. June stayed busy, raising her four children. When the children reached High School age, June went to work for Child Development, Inc., where she retired after 17 years. After retirement, June was an active volunteer at St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital and Friends of the Library. She was also involved in Jesterettes and Daughters of the Nile. June also loved to travel and spend time with her family. Her greatest joy was her seven grandchildren. She loved every moment spent with them, and they, with her. Everyone that walked into the Younger household was welcomed with open arms.June is survived by her husband, Wayne; son, Don; daughters, Jackie McLaughlin (Jeff) and Karlene Gray (Tim); seven very special grandchildren; sister, Carol; and nieces and nephews.
