Kohnke, June E.June E. Kohnke, age 74, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1943, in Oshkosh, the daughter of George Meisel Sr. and Elnora (Stafford) Meisel. On May 2, 1964 she married Eldon Kohnke at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. They were married for fifty-three years. June was a member of Church of Peace. She enjoyed decorating the house for the holidays and bird watching in the backyard. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially "Binky".Survivors include her husband Eldon of Fond du Lac; two children, John Kohnke of Fond du Lac, Linda (Mike) Meyer of North Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Laura, Tyler (Kait), Shane, and Samantha (fiancé Corey Deising); four great-grandchildren, Bladen, Alex, Binx, and Roslynn; two brothers, George (Mary) Meisel Jr. of Oshkosh, Jim (Cathy) Meisel of Oshkosh; brother-in-law, Leonard Kohnke of Fond du Lac; sisters-in-law, Fern Wagner of Mayville, Gladys Godfrey of Fond du Lac; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her godson, Ryan Meisel.Visitation will take place on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 1-3 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 3:00 PM. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Estabrooks Cemetery.
