Julia F. WelberYorkJulia (Forman) Welber, 94, of Senior Commons at Powder Mill, died on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the home. She was the wife of the late Harry A. Welber.She was born on March 20, 1923 in Lancaster and was a daughter of the late Louis and Bertha (Hoffman) Forman.Julia graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and also had obtained her Master's Degree in Education. She retired from the School District of the City of York, where she was a first-grade teacher at the Lincoln Elementary School for many years. Until her health failed, she was an active member of the Woman's Club of York, the York County Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, Friendship Club of York and the York County Preservation Trust Auxiliary.She is survived by her sons, Andrew B. Welber and David A. Welber of York; their wives, Burma and Diane; three grandsons, Derek J. Nichol, Adam L. Welber and Timothy A. Welber; four great-grandchildren, Tony, Aaron, Noah and Wyatt; her twin sister, Florence (Forman) Bellack of Lancaster and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Irwin Forman. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Temple Beth Israel, 2090 Hollywood Drive, York,17403 with Rabbi Jeffrey Astrachan, officiating. She will be buried next to her husband, Harry, at the South Hill Hebrew Cemetery, York.
