Judy Gorolis, age 69, of North Scranton, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening in Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Gorolis. On Aug. 18, the couple celebrated their 43rd year of marriage.A lifelong resident of Scranton, Judy was born on Feb. 21, 1947. Daughter of the late William H. and Naomi Clark Williams, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, class of 1966. Upon raising her family, she worked at W.W. Norton Book Co. in Dunmore, before retirement.She was also a member of the Scranton Tauras Club. She enjoyed her daily walks, spending time with her family and most of all, being with her adoring grandchildren. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Judy will forever be missed by her loved ones.She is survived by her three children, Amy Gorolis and companion, Gary Kozlowski; Jill Moran and husband, Dr. Kurt; and Jason Gorolis, all of Scranton; her sister, Carol Lyons Drapeau and husband, Robert, of South Port, N.C.; her grandchildren, Mikayla Gorolis, Kyle, Karissa, Konnor and Kollin Moran; a sister-in-law, Karen Gorolis; and nieces and nephews.Her brother, William D. Williams, also preceded her in death.Blessing services are scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton. Interment, private.Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 until services.
