Judith DoucetteNaples, FLJudith Doucette, 73, of Naples, FL passed away peacefully on August 21, 2017 after a short battle with illness. Judi was born on July 28, 1944 in Seattle, WA and raised in Columbus, OH before settling in East Hartford, CT and finally retiring in Naples, FL in 1999.Throughout her life, Judi was involved in a number of charitable and voluntary causes including her local church, Parents Without Partners, Cub Scouts of America, American MENSA and served as the President of her local condo association after retiring. She was one of the pioneers in video dating services and was co-founder and editor of a local singles publication. She always took the time to help others in need whenever she could.Judi was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all those in her life. The most important thing to her was family, and she extended that family to include many of those around her.She is predeceased by her adoptive father and mother, Gerald Harris and Rosemary (Harris) Snowden of Columbus, OH, biological mother Jeanette Batel of Branson, MO, stepfather J. Raymond Snowden of Columbus, OH, sisters Joyce Rife and Martha Larkin of Columbus, OH and Linda Abercrombie of Naples, FL.She is survived by her sons Scott and Craig Doucette of East Hartford, CT, sisters Gladys Vaught of Naples, FL and Shirley Brown of Branson, MO. Also by her nieces and nephews Rhonda (Rife) Tuller of Columbus, OH, Angela, Julie and Matt Abercrombie and Stan Nelson of Naples, FL, Kimberly (Johnson) Euliss and Justin and Cassie Brown of Branson, MO as well as many others.A private service for the family will be held at a future date.
