We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jovan Hicks, who was born on October 11, 2003, and passed away suddenly on July 17, 2024, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. He was the beloved son of Robert Hicks and Rosetta Buchanan.

Jovan graduated from Winnie Young Magnum High School in 2022 where he excelled academically. He had a passion for learning and was always eager to help his peers succeed.

Jovan had a close-knit family that meant the world to him. He cherished his big brothers and sisters, as well as his two nieces and two nephews. His love for them was evident in everything he did.

On the morning of July 17, 2024, at 7:45 am, Jovan's time on this earth came to an end as God called him home to rest. Although his time with us was too short, the memories we shared with him will live on forever in our hearts.

Jovan will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
