We mourn the passing of Joseph Opokumensah, who was born on March 5, 1974, in Tema, Greater Accra, Ghana. He was the beloved son of Yaw and Dawda Opokumensah, and the cherished partner of Ganyobi Opokumensah. Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family.

Joseph was a dedicated employee at Korle bu Hospital, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement in 2021. His passion for helping others was evident in everything he did, and he will be remembered for his kindness and compassion.

Outside of work, Joseph had a love for beading, which allowed him to express his creativity and unwind from the stresses of everyday life. He found joy in creating beautiful pieces of jewelry and sharing them with his loved ones.

Joseph is survived by his two children, Lois and Delois Opokumensah, as well as his seven grandchildren, Dean Opokumensah, Damoah Opokumensah, Michelle Opokumensah , Oppong Opkumensah, Delali Opokumensah, Akosua Adua Opokumensah and Afrifa Opokumensah His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

On July 22, 2024, Joseph passed away due to cardiac arrest. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Rest in peace, Josephine Opokumensah. You will be dearly missed.
