Josephine J Ogden (Ellis)AGE: 82 • Ocean City formerly of Cherry HillJosephine J., 82, of Ocean City, formerly of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 18, 2017. She was born on January 15, 1935 in Philadelphia. Jo's favorite job was working for the Philadelphia Phillies, but her most beloved role was that of a Mother and Grandmother. She was a long-time member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church and also a member of the Crescent Shriner's Ladies' Group. Josephine is predeceased by her husband, Howard R. Ogden; her parents, Elmer & Josephine Ellis; and son, Howard Joseph Ogden. She will be dearly missed and always remembered by her three daughters, Terry Steelman (Dan), Nancy Conover, Suzy Turner (Jim), as well as seven grandchildren: Rebecca (Jim), Christiann (fiancé Adam), Hayley, Raymond, Emily, Patrick and Alyssa. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Walsh and Marilyn Emberson and her loving caregiver, Beckie.In addition to being an amazing Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Jo was an avid Indy 500 fan and also enjoyed traveling the world with her husband of 62 years. May they continue their travels together in Heaven where they are once again reunited. Mom will be forever missed but always remembered for her love, caring and support of her family and of course her laundry skills! A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 1989 Route 70 East, Cherry Hill, NJ.
