Born August 15, 1940 to Joseph Edmond Henry and Miracia Pierre, Joseph was one of many children by his father Edmond. Joseph was loved by everyone he encountered including cousins and uncles older than him who called him Tonton Nippe. In Joseph’s early life, he worked various job, acquiring numerous skills one being a tailor. Joseph always had a positive outlook in life. He loved to travel and when he walked into a room, his smile was so captivating. His stories would always make you laugh. He took care of everyone who needed help, even though he had his own family to care for. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was attentive towards every family member and made sure that a week wouldn’t go by without him checking up on you.
In the early 70’s Joseph started working on the Sun Viking Cruise Ship. Not long after, he met his wife, Immaculaise St Brice, with whom he had 4 children Beatrice, Riccardo, Fernando, and Marc Arthur. After the birth of his children, he remained on the cruise ship to provide a better life for his family. After his relationship with wife ended in 1979, he decided to immigrate to the United Stated taking residence in California where he started a new life. During that time, he met his second wife, Kattie Lewis and they worked together eventually immigrating his children including his mother to Los Angeles California.
