It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Johnson Jr, who decided to leave this crazy world on his 56th birthday, December 22, 2024. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Joe was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and love for a good prank.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Mary, who always kept him in line with her sharp words and even sharper eye rolls. Together, they raised three troublemaking children: Ann, Willie, and A.J. Each one inherited their father's mischievous spirit and knack for causing chaos wherever they went.

Ann is married to Cornelius Brown, who managed to keep up with her father's antics and even outsmart him on more than one occasion. Willie, the middle child, never quite grew out of his rebellious phase and spent most of his time trying to outdo his dad's legendary pranks. And A.J, the baby of the family, managed to find a partner in crime in his wife Ashely Murphy, much to Joe's amusement.

Joe also leaves behind five mischievous grandchildren, Efrem Davis, Cordarius Lee, Telayah Brown, Cj Brown, Tylil Johnson who were always eager to join in on their grandpa's shenanigans.

In lieu of flowers, Joe would have wanted his loved ones to share a good laugh, play a harmless prank, and always find joy in the little things. Rest in peace, Joe. We'll never forget your infectious smile and unforgettable sense of humor.
