We are gathered here today to remember and honor the life of Melvin Kelly, who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 84 in Florence, South Carolina. Born on September 7, 1940, Melvin was the beloved son of Henry and Mildred Kelly.

He was married to his loving spouse Gladys Thomas for 61 years and together they raised a beautiful and lively family. Melvin was the proud father of Ronnie Norman (spouse George Norman), Sandy Thomas, Lolita Morgan (spouse Roger Morgan), Corbett Thomas (spouse Jessie Thomas), George Thomas (spouse Sabrina Thomas), Gregory Thomas (spouse Janet Thomas), and Kevin Thomas (spouse Anita Thomas).

He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories made with their "Paw Paw."

Melvin was a graduate of Washington Lee High School and always had a knack for yard work. His dedication to his hobbies brought joy to those around him and his green thumb was the envy of his neighbors.
