Joseph F. RoubalPalm City, FLIt is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our sweet loved husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. Joe passed away on April 2 at home with is family by his side.He was born on December 5, 1925 in Lindenhurst, N.Y. and built a home on Wellwood ave. where he lived with hsi family for 46 years. Moved to Florida in 1995. He enjoyed his garden, bowling with the Community team, playing cards with his friends at Whispering Sound and golfing with his buddies.Joe served in World War II in the Navy on a tanker in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Pacific and Africa. After the war he worked for the Post Office and then went into construction as a Hydro-Crane operator.Joe was a past Commander of the Catholic War Veterans Post 364 and served as Cub Scout Master for Pack 152.He will be missed by his beloved wife, Dorothy. They were married for 67 years. He is survived by his children, Dr. Paul (Claire), Peter (JoAnne), Joseph (Linda), and Beth Blackburn (Michael) and his grandchildren, Caryn, Jessica, Nick, Joe, Kelsey, Morgan, Kristen, Eric and step-grandchildren Cole and Quinn; two great-grandchildren, Evan and Ryan. Memorial service will be held on April 28 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with burial at the National Cemetery in Lake Worth.Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice in memory of Joe.He will always be remembered as a kind, good person, nonjudgmental, and with a gift of humility. We love you.
