Joseph Journet, a beloved resident of Rayne, Louisiana, passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on December 26, 1941, Joseph lived a full and vibrant life. He will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, his unwavering loyalty to his community, and his passion for life. Joseph had a love for the outdoors and could often be found tending to his garden or fishing at his favorite spot on the bayou. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as his presence brought warmth and joy to those around him.

He leaves to cherish his memory five brothers, Nelson Journet (Helen), Alvin Journet, Leroy Journet, Bobby Journet, and Brandon Journet (Latarya); five sisters, Rosa Rabie, Alice Journet, Cathy Porter, Mary Dardar (Randy), and Elizabeth Celestine (Kenneth); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Felton Journet and Alice Broussard Journet; two brothers, Wilbert White and Joseph Ernest Broussard; and a nephew, Curtis Alfred, Jr.
