We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Joseph Slater, who left us on May 24, 2024, at the young age of 22. Born on December 28, 2001 in Georgetown, Guyana, Joseph was the beloved son of Anthony Slater and Delyse Wallace.
Joseph was a loving sibling to his five sisters– Ashley Abdulla, Renata Slater, Jonette Slater, Cheryl Slater, and Jael Goodluck. He was a proud graduate of St. Rose's High School in 2020 and continued his studies at Texila American University of Guyana, where he graduated in 2023.
Joseph had a passion for sports, particularly soccer and cricket. He could often be found cheering on his favorite teams or playing with friends on the field. His enthusiasm for sports brought joy to those around him and created lasting memories.
Throughout his life, Joseph touched the hearts of everyone he met with his kindness, intelligence, and sense of humor. He had a bright future ahead of him, full of potential and promise. His untimely passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew him.
Joseph will be remembered for his infectious smile, his love for his family, and his dedication to his studies. He was a shining star in a world that is now a little dimmer without him. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Although Joseph's time with us was cut short, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
