Joseph Brown was born January 19, 1962 in Leake County to Henry and Lela Mae Brown. Joseph accepted Christ at an early age and joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He received his education from the Leake County School District. He graduated from Carthage High School class of 1983. He later attended East Central Community College and received a degree in Welding. He was a welder for years, and later became a truck driver until his health failed him.

Joseph was joined in holy matrimony to Melinda Lindsey Brown who took care of him faithfully each day. They were the proud parents of four children. Joseph loved his entire family and made sure they knew it too.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, father- n- law, four brothers, one sister, three sister- n- laws, four brother -n- laws.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His loving wife, Melinda Lindsey Brown, of Forest,MS. Three daughters: Latiffa Lindsey, of Newton, MS. Andreka Buie of Conohetta, MS. Shareka Brown, of Forest, MS. One son Joseph Brown Jr. of Forest, MS. Two brothers: Tony Brown Lewis, and Vanuel Lee Brown, both of Carthage MS. Four sisters: Joann(Billy Ray) Skinner, of Maywood, IL. Hannah Ruth Banks, of Milwaukee, WI. Linda Sue Brown and Loretta Ann Brown, both of Carthage MS. Four sister-n-laws: Patricia, Alfreda, Zoatta, and Lois, all of Forest, MS. Two brother-n-laws: Howard and Sammy, both of Forest, MS. A very special mother-n-law Ms. Josephine Lindsey.
