Santa Rosa, TX - Josefa Sanchez Flores, age 73, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord in Heaven in the early morning hours on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, with the love of family surrounding her at Harlingen Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Santa Rosa, TX, she was born on June 24, 1943 to Juan Loya Sanchez and Juanita Garza Sanchez. Always a faithful supporter of the Santa Rosa Warriors, Josefa was also a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She had a passion for the word of the Lord and was a woman of great faith. Josefa was a prayer warrior and prayed the holy rosary multiple times daily.She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Juan Jose Flores; their children, Marie Yvette Flores Gonzalez (Andy), Omar Flores (Vanessa); grandchildren, Johnney James Flores, Noah Flores, Gabriela Flores, Rion Montemayor, and Andy Gonzalez III; great grandchildren, Marcy, Makayla, Adalyn, and Andrew; brothers, Apolonio Sanchez Sr., Alfredo Sanchez, and Saul Sanchez; sisters, Adelita Galvan and San Juanita Dicus; and numerous nephews and nieces.She is preceded in death by her parents; and three nephews, Eleazar Sanchez, Anselmo Sanchez, and Apolonio Sanchez, Jr.Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Santa Rosa with Fr. Cesar as celebrant.
