Jose Hernandez, also known as "Papa Bear" to his five children, passed away on September 23, 2025, after a fierce battle with a stroke. Born on July 10, 1954, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Jose lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a healthy dose of chaos.

Jose was known for his incredible talent for being a family man, always putting his children first and making sure they were well taken care of. His hobbies included refereeing sibling squabbles, giving the best bear hugs, and mastering the art of the dad joke.

Despite his stubbornness and questionable taste in music, Jose's love for his children knew no bounds. Whether he was grilling up a storm at family barbecues or embarrassing his kids with his dance moves at school events, Jose always made sure his presence was felt.

While we may never hear his off-key singing again or be on the receiving end of his overly enthusiastic bear hugs, we take solace in knowing that Jose has finally found peace. Rest in peace, Papa Bear, your legacy of love will live on forever in the hearts of your children.
