Harlingen, TX - Jose Benito Pena, 76, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016, in Harlingen, Texas. He was born on August 13, 1940 in La Feria, Texas to Benito and Adelaida Pena.Jose is preceded in death by his father, Benito Flores Pena; and sister, Elia Vento.Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 16 years, Maria Luisa Pena; his children, Ronnie, Rene, Thomas Ray, Desiree, Michael, and Layla Pena; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; mother, Adelaida Pena; 2 brothers, Jorge and Roberto Pena; and several nephews and nieces.Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Santa Rosa.
